big plans for twenty~ten !

I am SO excited . I have been SO excited for the past week or so. SO FREAKIN' EXCITED. Why, you ask ~??

Me and my Tracy dear have BIG HAPPY TRAVEL PLANS for 2010 ~!!!!!!!!!! ~~ YIPPEE xDDD ~~

Yes, I AM aware that it`s over a year away, but no matter ! I have been obsessively planning and researching or trip recently xD~ Where to go, how to get there, where to stay, what to do. . .

First off, we will be studying abroad in T H A I L A N D for the spring semester, which starts in early January and lasts until early April. From there, we will go country-hopping =P M A L A Y S I A is next, followed by I N D O N E S I A, then A U S T R A L I A, then N E W Z E A L A N D, and finally J A P A N , returning home in early to mid July ~

I have TONS of details already xDD. I`ll prolly start a different blog to document our travels sometime next year.

It`s gonna be EPIC !!

I like showers . They`re nice and I can blast hot water and mix it with cold water to a perfect proportion of hot to cold water for a custom-made level of warm water to suit my particular tastes of the time . Awesome . And then the water falls with good pressure and then I get to use my shampoo and conditioner and body wash and make ginormous bubbles and giggle when they pop in my face . And then I spit because I often get it on my tongue and it tastes icky.

When I`m in the shower and I talk to myself or whatever, no one can hear me.

And when I feel like crap and want to scream and cry and rip something up or punch something, I can take a shower instead . And by the time I come out, I`m all better . Not to mention clean.

I`m all better.

New Fullmetal Alchemist Anime = T RU E STOR Y!

“The wraparound jacket band on the 20th volume of Hiromu Arakawa’s Fullmetal Alchemist manga will confirm on Friday that a new television anime series is in the works. A new anime series was a topic of much fan discussion for several months, but it was thrust into a more public spotlight last month when a management document was purportedly leaked from the BONES anime studio. The document listed Fullmetal Alchemist animator Yasuhiro Irie as “Hagane 2 kantoku” (Iron/Fullmetal 2 director)“.

xDDD I am so happy !! This is an FMA revival, the glorious return of this amazing series ! I`ve always loved the anime, of course, but the manga is just beyond a n y t h i n g . I`ve already had my manga-rave post so I`ll stop now =P . Omigosh. This wonderful storyline is now being a n i m a t e d . Seriously. ♥WOo~w♥ .

Production is still underway, and I hear the brand-spankin` new series will premiere in April of 2009 . *EXCITEMENT =D*

Cosplay is truly delicious fun . It`s the physical embodiment of a related obsession , but has appeal and flavor all its own . Choosing a character . Planning with friends . Construction . Dress up . Showing off . Sharing the love . Mass fangirling . Photography , on both sides of the lens . TONS more . Yum~yuum !

New F O C U S ! This time around , I would really like to improve my skills in cosplay photography ! In a few sentences, with everything completely in my personal opinion and unfortunately limited scope of understanding , cosplay photography is highly characterized by the personality and mood/feel of the character[s] and the portrayed series . It bears some semblance to glamour and fashion photography. A common desired effect is the achievement of a two-dimensional look , although this is not a requirement on any level . Other features may include saturation/desaturation of colors for that comic book feel , experimental lighting , or "atypical" shoot locations . Along with improving my skills in photography [ nowhere else for me to go but up , then , since i`m a total n00b =D ] , I also want to learn better posing and presentation when acting as the subject of a potential photograph .

Yes, it sure does . But that`s just about all i have to say about that =P ~ i had my first exam today [ yesterday ]. Uhm . It sucked butt LOL >.>

So what`s been going on recently ? Nwee ~ not really sure ahaha . Lotsa days off from school, but that`s over now so no more breaks until thanksgiving =T . Lotsa random stuff . Lotsa distracting things for me to waste my time on on the internet teehee xPP ~ Master procrastinator is not a title that comes easy, y`know =O .

Exhibit A - Water . And rocks . Outside the st. george ferry terminal, ballpark side . it was gorgeous out and i had my spiffy new camera and i was bored waiting for my ride lOL so i decided to snap a few pics . There was so much garbage ROFL ~ Oooh and i saw a cat =] Urrkk . . . but then there was this creepy mta worker dude who randomly came up to me and was all like, "want me to take a picture of you by the water?" And i`m just like, "err. . . *uneasy smile* no thank you" lOL . Then he goes, "aww but you look so gorgeous ! let me take a picture with your camera for you." Me : O.o; "no really, it`s okay . . . i live here anyway lOL i`m always around here. . . " Him : "are you sure ? it would be my pleasure." So it was getting reeally uncomfortable ahaha sooo I decided to play the boyfriend card LOLL and said, "no it`s fine . my bf is coming to pick me up soon anyway , he should be here any second." And then he was all like, "oh alright . . . have a good day," and finally left xDD;;

Exhibit C - My dorm wall piccy collage ~! = ] ♥ Yup , finally put it up . . .during the time i was supposed to have been studying for orgo LOL =XX . It`s right above my desk where dearie laptop neji-kun sits ~~ It`s very distracting xD but gives me warm happy fuzzies ^x^ . There`s pics from the end of senior year at high school thru this past summer . plus a postcard my tracy dear sent me from her italy trip =D ~

Exhibit D - OBSESSION I ~!! ♡ It`s Bleach Vol. 1 !! ^.^ This series is truly amazing . Sure it`s mainstream and sure people may think it`s overhyped , but I disagree . Bleach earned its popularity , even if those people who made it popular themselves may not fully realize its true worth ~ Kubo tite-sensei is pure genius . The plot is beautifully evolved , each stroke of art and every panel is purposefully and gorgeously drawn , the action is wonderfully rendered , and the heart of the story -- the [many] characters, but especially the main ones: Ichigo , Rukia , Orihime , etc . . -- are amazingly developed . It`s complex and deep and very relational , even if it`s a shounen manga geared towards boys . I love this series so much . The bleachness community on livejournal really showed me how to appreciate the manga in particular . The moderator in this comm wrote several essays , this one for example , that made me reconsider the artistic distinction between manga and anime . and there sure is a HUGE one . The paneling , the lines, the detailed facial expressions , and so much more is integral to fully grasping the whole, true story , the way the creator meant for it to be understood . Just to cut this short [lOL =P] , there`s something more to reading the manga than just breezing through the pages in 2 minutes . take your time and really look at what kubo-sensei has presented to us . it`s one phenomenal show .

Exhibit E - OBSESSION II ~!! ♡ It`s FMA Vol. 17 !! I`ve waited SOOOO long for this xDD ! FMA chapters take an entire month to come out, unfortunately D: which makes for super slow volume releases . in fact , vol. 18 doesn`t come out until may 2009 !! MAY 2009 !!! @.@ Well. . . good things come to those who wait lOL . and it`ll be my birthday ? ahaha =P . Ahh . . . what to say about FMA [teehee that rhymed =P ] . Storytelling genius , once again . A vastly different story than most others of this genre , I believe . Arakawa-sensei has a different sort of brilliance , and I continue to believe that FMA stands on a slightly different level than the rest =O . Just off the top of my head ~ the action`s more subtle , less in-your-face . Not that in-your-face is bad, lOL . But FMA action is not so much about the big fight sequences as it is about the context, circumstances , reason behind it all . . . anyway LOL . The series isn`t as popular now that the anime`s ended . . . actually the manga itself appears to be nearing an end as well DDD: I is sad !! But hey . . . word on the street is they`re planning to remake the anime so that it actually follows the manga !! =DDD ! I is happy ! lOL =P Okie i stop now =]

Exhibit F - TWILIGHT ! xDDD ~ Yesh, i`m one of those =P . don`t hate ~~ It`s a lovely series [but OMIGOSH i still need to read breaking dawn !!! =.=] . It`s an easy read , a simple concept . But i don`t know . . . stephanie meyer just did something to make it new again . sweet . suspenseful . romantic . thrilling . doesn`t try to be anything it`s not . it`s just a wonderful story that takes you away from reality . I like it that way =] It doesn`t hurt that it`s oh so tasty and squee-worthy, either xDD ~~

And as in when i need the rest for class tomorrow and other such mind-stimulating activites i have planned for my busy schedule tomorrow ahahaha not . I only have two classes tomorrow . The first one starts at 1245 lOL . But i really should be catching up on some readings =T . and OMIGOSHLIES IN A RIDICUOUSLY BIG PUDDLE OF GOOEY CHOCOLATE do i need to get crackin on ORGO DDDD: ! ! ! ! ~! Mark my words it will be the death of me ! ! I mean seriously am i THAT dumb to be following all the stupid soOoOo-super-clear-i-can-practically-see-thru-them instructions from the lab handout AND the printout slides from the recitation class AND the "helpful hints" section from our butt-ugly blackboard site & STILL manage to muck up the whole procedure ? ? Was it too much to ask for some stupid recrystallized unknown compound - possibly salicylic acid or sorbic acid or p-nitroaniline or m-nitroaniline or napthalene or cholesterol or p-bromacetanilide - to show up on a stupid watch glass ? ? Well . Apparently it was >.<

Meh . That was from tuesday , too . I really don`t get why it`s still bothering me so much , tho =.= now , observe as i refrain from calling myself a fail because that is vaaary bad self-depreciation and I need to stop doing that =D while , instead , I call myself an anti-win ! cuz at least that has the word `win` in it ^.^ ~

Right before I sat down , lurked thru a few other blogs , and finally decided to type up a post , I was in the bathroom . There was a girl . She was in a stall when i got there , and she was there for the good 15-20 minutes while i was washing up . I saw her feet , and it startled me because it was so silent i didn`t think there was anyone else around . Weird thing is , i saw her hair , too . At first I didn`t want to bother her . But then I got this really bad feeling , yknow . My heart started pounding and i started thinking , what if something was really wrong . And yet I didn`t do anything , wondering if it was my crazy overactive imagination again , making a whole deal out of some quiet girl in the bathroom . Finally I stopped thinking so much and knocked a few times on her door . Called out , sayin hello ? hello ? And , are you okay ? Do you need any help ? And I kept knocking , my knuckles turning red . A minute or so later I heard a groan , and some moving , and eventually the girl stepped out . One sniff and I knew why she`d been there . And she managed a smile , and a `thanks`. I just smiled back and followed her out of the bathroom , watching carefully as she stumbled back to her room , swaying on her feet and knocking into the walls .

I don`t know why i just shared all that . I didn`t know the girl . But I was just . . . really scared . I`m relieved she wasn`t any worse off . She made it safely back to the room and so hopefully she`s fine and sleeping it off . Nevertheless I was really afraid for her . It kinda broke my heart . And I know this is like really really common , especially in college , and many of you have probably dealt with something like this already . I guess that`s what makes it even more upsetting .

I have a lot more to say about a whole slew of other stuff that may or may not connect in some odd way . But I`m finally tired enough to sleep now so goodnite ♥

because i am old

Greetings, fellow internet-lurkers ! I hail from the cozy lil white-walled, fluorescent-lit, sweltering-hot-NO-AC-IN-THIS-DUMB-ROOM realm of Brookdale dorms =] . So yups, I'm all moved in now ! Woot woot ! I have pretty new curtains, and a cute lil lamp, and a nice vase of fake flowers, and all my favorite plushies, and a jar of potpourri, and my lovely posters / pictures on the wall, and a whole bunch more of other random things ppl typically have in their dorm rooms ^.^ ~

Gonna rewind for a bit now and take it back to when I was still cleaning up my dump of a room at home, just so I could properly pack for the move out [ and i STILL forgot some important things . . . idiot xP ] . I found this time capsule thing from 8 years ago xD ! It was so funny cuz it was just a rolled up piece of computer paper in an old Poland Springs bottle, and on the cap it said ' 8 / 10 / 2007 ' . Heh . Oops . Guess that's when I was supposed to have opened it xD oh wellss ~ I remember when I had put this together . . . it was summertime and I was in elementary school between 5th and 6th grades or something like that ~ And I was in VBS at GCC ! =DD Kehee ~ I opened it up . . . and it was this Gospel Light [ lOL ] worksheet called ' From Time to Time ' . There were two columns - the first one said ' Today : August 10 , 2000 ' and the other said ' In the Future ( fill in later ) ' . Then I got madd excited cuz I was like oh snap ~ ! I can fill this in now ! xDD ! =P
